One of the few perks of being a tech-savvy bloke in his 60s from the UK — besides having a well-seasoned sense of humour (and, admittedly, loads of experience) — is discovering unexpected benefits I never saw coming.

Turns out, there are three rather good reasons brands might want to work with someone like me:

  1. Apparently, I have a knack for creating lighthearted, relatable UGC that captures the realities of ageing in a fun way.

  2. Brands today are actively seeking creators in my demographic. Why? Because real-world experience brings a level of authenticity that truly resonates with audiences.

  3. And blending humour with honesty? That’s a recipe audiences can’t resist — and it’s something that suits a wide range of brands.

Humour also happens to be brilliant at defusing sensitive issues, turning awkward into appealing — which makes products (and messages) far easier for people to embrace.
